Our Faith-Centered Approach

Our Faith-Centered Approach

Supporting You With Compassion, Intention, and Faith

Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can be beautiful, overwhelming, joyful, uncertain, and deeply transformative.

At Hosanna Doula & Wellness Services, I believe you deserve to be supported as a whole person — body, mind, emotions, and spirit.

My work is rooted in my Christian faith, and that foundation shapes the way I serve families: with compassion, humility, encouragement, patience, and a genuine desire to care for the person in front of me.

What Does "Faith-Centered" Mean?

Faith-centered care does not mean that I have a predetermined way your birth should look.

It means that my faith influences the way I show up for you.

I believe every family deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness, patience, and respect.

If you desire it, your support may include prayer, Scripture, encouragement, or simply having space to talk about the spiritual side of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood.

You get to tell me what feels meaningful and appropriate for you.

Your Birth Is Yours

You may have a very specific vision for your birth.

You may still be figuring it out.

You may have a detailed birth plan.

You may have no idea what you want.

You may be planning an unmedicated birth, an epidural, an induction, a VBAC, or a Cesarean.

Whatever your circumstances, my role is not to make your choices for you.

My role is to provide support, information, encouragement, and a calm presence while you make the decisions that are right for you and your family.

Faith and Informed Choice Can Exist Together

I believe asking questions is important.

I believe understanding your options matters.

I believe you can seek wisdom, gather information, talk with your healthcare providers, pray, and thoughtfully consider your choices.

I will never pretend to be your medical provider or make medical decisions on your behalf.

Instead, I can help you prepare questions, understand the non-clinical information available to you, and feel more confident communicating with your care team.

When Birth Doesn't Go According to Plan

Sometimes birth looks very different from what we imagined.

Plans can change.

An induction may become necessary.

An epidural may become part of the plan.

A planned vaginal birth may become a Cesarean.

A postpartum experience may be more difficult than expected.

When circumstances change, you still deserve support.

My goal is not to measure your birth by whether it followed a particular plan.

My goal is to help you feel cared for, respected, informed, and supported through the experience you actually have.

Supporting the Whole Family

Birth affects more than the person giving birth.

Partners may have questions.

Families may feel excited, nervous, overwhelmed, or unsure of what to expect.

Postpartum brings another major transition as everyone learns a new rhythm.

I want my support to make room for the whole family.

That may mean helping a partner understand how to provide comfort, offering reassurance during an uncertain moment, helping a family prepare for postpartum, or simply being a calm and encouraging presence.

Prayer Is Available — Never Assumed

For families who desire prayer, I am honored to pray with you.

For families who would rather not include prayer in their support, I will respect that.

My hope is that you feel safe enough to communicate your preferences openly.

You should never feel pressured to participate in anything that does not feel right for you.

A Relationship Built on Trust

Inviting a doula into your pregnancy, birth, or postpartum experience is personal.

You are not simply choosing a service.

You are choosing someone who may be present during some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of your life.

That is why I believe connection matters.

Your complimentary consultation is an opportunity for us to talk, ask questions, share expectations, and determine whether we are a good fit.

If You're Looking for Faith-Centered Support

If you're looking for a doula who will support you with compassion, respect your choices, and make space for your faith throughout the journey, I would be honored to connect with you.

You don't have to know exactly what you need before reaching out.

Let's talk.
